Transferring iTunes to NAS Device

I have Sonos systems in two homes.  At our primary home, our iTunes library (contained in a Mac Mini) is captured on the Sonos system.  As the Mac is located at the primary home, the iTunes library is not available on the secondary home system.  I’m planning on transferring the iTunes library (<4TB) to a portable NAS device and am looking on feedback on recommended devices and success/failure in transferring the library to the device and adding the music library to the Sonos system at the secondary home

Hi @ORHawkfan, given that you’ll have two copies of your music library (Mac Mini, NAS) you can safely go with a one-drive NAS. Here are a few options for you …

… while QNAP and Synology are the ‘big’ names, the Buffalo is a solid choice for a simple NAS.

Copying your music library from the Mac Mini to the NAS is straightforward. Ditto for adding the NAS to your Sonos system in your secondary home.
