What is the best way to manage double disks in my Music Library in Sonos?  I set the disk number to 1 and 2 in “Tag & Rename”, but this seems to be ignored by Sonos. I then set the track numbers to 101, 102, ...201, 202… but that did not work either in Sonos.  It seems that I have to include double CDs as two separate CDs, which is not ideal.

Thank you - but I’ve just discovered I’ve made a very silly mistake.  Please accept my apologies for wasting your time, and thank you for trying to help me.

That seems odd. Did you update your library in the Sonos controller after making these changes?

Thanks for your comment Bruce, yes I always update the library.  Is it possible that a minor change like this, ie just track numbers, is not recognised in an update?  Maybe I should delete the album and add it again.

Hmmm. I wouldn’t think so, but hey, worth a try. Are you sure you’re changing the correct files (yea, it’s a long shot, but who knows)? Not sure why it would be doing that, doesn’t make much sense to me. I would think even the track number change would be picked up.

I think I’d ultimately call Sonos Support directly to discuss it.

When you speak directly to the phone folks, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.

Have you tried to assign the numbers of songs as Metadata?
