I’ve updated as well. I don’t have add next or end of queue. Also my alarms went missing. This app is buggy AF.

Found them!

Click an actively selected speaker, then search for the track/item you wish to add and click the 3 dots.

HTH

Still not seeing add to end of queue. Actively selected speaker ???

Hit the three dots beside the track or album and you will get a context menu like below, except!!??! hopefully not missing add to end and add next like I am inexplicably 🤬😡😤

Mine looks like yours…missing

I’ve selected to play my Roam:

Then minimised that screen and searched for music (in this case Lou Bega):

Now clicked either of the 3 dots, album or track give me this:

Is that not working for you guys?

I have “Add to end of queue” but whenever I try to use it I get an error message “Something went wrong”. It’s  not working.

I suspect it’s missing either because the room/group that’s in focus is not currently using the queue, or there’s nothing in the queue playing to ‘play next’ etc. or no current queue to add to the end of it - hence thats perhaps why you’re just seeing the option to replace the queue (in addition to the play button itself).

At least that’s my guess, but unfortunately I can’t see what’s in your chosen queue already, or if it’s in use, to perhaps see if it’s the case… but that’s what immediately springs to mind seeing your screenshot @Bumper.

Note: A user can also long press on a ‘valid’ placeholder item aswell in the App, to bring up the playback settings screen in order to "add to end of queue’ etc; as shown in the attached animation.

This shows a long-press and adding a Wishbone Ash album to the queue from ‘Sonos Favorites’ on an iPhone controller without using the (…) ellipsis menu. Same can be done for tracks, playlists etc. from anywhere in the App. It’s just another option to quickly display/use the playback settings screen.

I figured out my issue with not having alarms, the 2 queue functions, sleep timers with help from the community.

It seems that the new features in the app are only shown if the app can poll a server that flags the features to be displayed.

The server that Sonos is using for this  is the same server that is delivering the in app advertisements.

If you use an ad blocker or a privacy tool that blocks the in app ads, your app won’t display the new features.

tl:dr

In app Ads= access to new features

no in app ads = no new features

Whitelisting Sonos.com doesn’t work as Sonos is using a third party ad server for this.

I wonder if this is an over sight due to the speed things are being done.

I really hope that we are not going to be forced to subscribe to go add free.

Maybe an indication of subscriptions or in app purchases for new features in the app. I don’t actually think so but I guess we’ll see.

All good instruction friends, but the fixer in my saga came in the form of a pop up requesting access to my network. Once that was granted the “add to end of queue” and sleep timer appeared like a ghost in the night.

I am looking for a service that I can use alexa or google to say alexa play next, or play last.  Does this address that issue?  What service are you referencing with the play next / last feature and is it alexa enabled and working?   Thanks.
