Hello

I have moved all of my iTunes music from my laptop to my network WD myCloud ultra

By doing this the the XML files addresses will now be incorrect for the songs

I'm having trouble to figure out the XML addresses how they should be laid out for Sonos

This is the address line within iTunes<string>file:///Users/markburton/Music/Music/Media.localized/Music/StoneBridge/Take%20Me%20Away%20-%20The%20Remixes/06%20Take%20Me%20Away%20(Stonebridge%20Radio%20Edit).mp

/Users/markburton/Music/Music/Media.localized/Music/

This is my address pathway from WD mycloud ultra

/MyCloudEX2Ultra._smb._tcp.local/Public/Shared Music/Music/Al Green

How should the pathway read please?

Hi @mark b

Thanks for your post!

If the iTunes .xml file does indeed use absolute paths, I can see why that would be an issue for you. So, this is, I think, a very good question!

Please bear in mind that I do not have iTunes and can only theorise as to what to do and cannot test it for myself, but I think the following would work:

In iTunes, export your playlists as individual .m3u files. These should contain relative paths rather than absolute paths (and be saved inside the music folder location) and therefore work when imported to Sonos from the NAS drive rather than the iTunes host computer.

However, if you wish to directly edit each and every item within the .xml file as you initially propose, I believe the path would need to look like this:

//MyCloudEX2Ultra._smb._tcp.local/Public/Shared Music/Music/StoneBridge/Take%20Me%20Away%20-%20The%20Remixes/06%20Take%20Me%20Away%20(Stonebridge%20Radio%20Edit).mp3

But it is possible that the following would also suffice:

//MyCloudEX2Ultra/Public/Shared Music/Music/StoneBridge/Take%20Me%20Away%20-%20The%20Remixes/06%20Take%20Me%20Away%20(Stonebridge%20Radio%20Edit).mp3

I hope this helps.
