The day has finally come!

Imagine my elation when I noticed that the official sonos widget was back, and then despair when after adding it, it just says “not available” underneath the room name.

Is this a known issue?

I have been using a third party widget without much trouble in the meantime.

Also I notice in the default 4x1 size format, it appears to have just three buttons (back/play/skip).

We will be needing a volume button too! (like the old widget!)

Hi @Rudie

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues with the Now Playing Widget.

I’ve tested on my system and, while the first attempt gave me a ‘Not Connected’ message as I was previously connected to another system, removing and re-adding the Widget fixed that for me. The ‘Not Connected’ message displays if you aren’t connected to your system by being on a different or no Wi-Fi network.

I’d suggest trying to remove then re-add the widget if you haven’t already, as well as making sure the Sonos App and your speakers are up to date. Does the message say ‘Not Available’ or ‘Not Connected’? If it shows ‘Not Connected’, I’d suggest you check your network meets our system requirements, with no unsupported devices such as wireless extenders, LTE routers, etc. If it says ‘Not Available’, I’d recommend reaching out to our support team for further assistance.

Also, you can resize the widget from the default 4x1 size to include a volume up and down button. If you tap and hold on the widget, you can drag the border of the widget to resize it.

I hope this information helps!
