Question

switching music providers

Hiya, I currently have a playlist with songs for both Apple Music and Amazon both of which I’m subscribing to, if I only used Amazon subscription going forward will Sonos still play the full playlist including the songs from Apple just switching providers to the same song but from Amazon?

Or is it a case of laboriously making a whole new playlist from Amazon music ?

Where are the tracks stored? Amazon can’t play tracks stored on Apple servers.

You could use something like this.  I have no experience with any program like this.  Something you could try.

No, Sonos will not switch the playlist track from Apple to Amazon Music when Apple Music is no longer available for playback.

Thanks each 🙏, looks as if I’m going to need to add each track to a new Amazon playlist 😬

If your current playlist is a mixture of Apple and Amazon tracks, you should only need to deal with the Apple tracks. You could replace the Apple tracks. Do this update before you close the Apple account.

I have used SongShift for transfer Music Service playlists, I moved from Spotify to Apple Music, so converted all the Spotify playlists to Apple Music. I would use similar to convert, and use Amazon playlists, rather than the Sonos playlists, as the music service playlists will always be with you, where as the Sonos playlists have to stay at ‘home’.
