Status Light on Sonos Connect

Is it just me, or is it not possible to turn off the status light for a Sonos Connect, when using the new app?

The slider in the app lets me choose on or off for the status light, but this has not effect on the Connect itself: the light stays always on.

Same - happened after the new app update for my One and One SLs.

It's not just you.

Same here, all devices have that status light on. Flipping the switch in the app don’t change it. Latest update introduced this.

I put some electrical tape over the lights in bedrooms.
