Spotify won't play on my Sonos S1 system

It used to work, but now every time I try to play Spotify, I get a “Unable to play selected item”. It also isn’t importing the artists that I’ve played on Spotify. Same result on the laptop or the phone.

I’ve tried reauthorizing the account several times, then deleted it and reinstalled it.  Spotify and Sonos both say everything is good, but no change.

Then I deleted it, reset the controller on the laptop, and reinstalled it. That at least brought over my Spotify history, but still the same error. 

What else can I try? Thanks!
