So basically whenever I play Spotify on my Sonos speakers some features don’t work as intended.

It will play the wrong songs and doesn’t let me disable the shuffle mode.

I also can’t rewind or fast forward songs (the bar is greyed out)

It’s as if it wouldn’t recognize I have Spotify Premium.

This started happening only a few days ago when it had been working just fine before.

Some help would be appreciated :)

I’m having the same problem, and I’m not seeing a banner in Spotify nor here. Where are you seeing it?


It would have taken you to https://status.sonos.com, but it appears to have been resolved now, which is likely why you’re not getting the pop up anymore. 


It still is an issue for me, so whatever the banner was, it doesn’t appear to have resolved this issue.


You may be experiencing a different issue. Why don’t you open a new thread, or call Sonos Support directly to discuss it?


The issue described in this thread is exactly what I’m experiencing. It seems silly to copy paste it and re-post. I’ll call support, but I don’t think this is different.

Welcome to the Sonos Community! Sorry to hear of the issues you’ve had with Spotify playback on Sonos.

It has been reported elsewhere that a reboot of the speakers resolved this issue for someone.
