Spotify Crossfade unable to work through Sonos.

In trying to play songs with a crossfade so one song blends into the next on Spotify, something which works on Spotify natively and any other speaker system we've played it through, the Crossfade does not play correctly through Sonos. There is no crossfade when playing Spotify on Spotify but with the sound coming out of the Sonos system. What can we do about this! It's not groovy when a song ends abruptly and there's space and then another song starts.

Hi @GoRustic, Thanks for reaching out, and welcome to the community. Sorry to hear about what’s happening on your Sonos system. I’ll ask some questions so that we can further check on this issue. 

  • Have you tried it on other device controllers if the crossfade feature is not working?
  • When did it start happening that crossfade is not working?
  • Is it only happening on Spotify? Have you enabled crossfade on the Sonos App?
  • Is it happening on all songs? playlists? or on all songs?

Answers to these questions will help us check further what could be causing this issue.
