Soundcloud service has failed today and I am unable to re-add it. When it provides me with a code to enter into Soundcloud to reconnect it but once I log in and go back to Sonos it says ‘Something went wrong, check your internet connection and try again’. Other times it does not generate the Soundcloud code and just goes straight to the same connection issue message. Have tried restarting apps, turning all sonos zones on and then off at the plug.

Since there’s no indication of an issue at https://status.sonos.com, I’d probably call Sonos Support to discuss it, assuming you’ve already rebooted your router.

When you speak directly to the Support staff, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.

I’ve seen posts on r/sonos of users experiencing the same issue

Which doesn’t change my suggestion.

I’m raising the point that this does not seem to be an issue specific to me or my network. Perhaps I’ve misunderstood the purpose of this forum. I thought it was to raise and discuss issues with other users and helpful Sonos moderators. If the standard response is to call support immediately then I apologise and shall delete the thread.

I’m not suggesting the thread be deleted. You raised an issue in the community, there have been no other threads that I’m familiar with regarding this issue. If you’re interested in resolution, the suggestion stands. If you’re just interested in more discussion, this thread is a great place for others to add their concerns, which may certainly be valid. At some point, when the moderators get a chance to respond, they may, or may not, do so. However, to my knowledge, the forum moderators are in the EU, and won’t likely be able to respond quickly. Sonos support is much better equipped, both in coverage, and ability to get the data to others, be it SoundCloud, the web folks to update the Sonos status page, or the engineering team to fix an issue in the Sonos code.

Entirely up to you. All I was attempting to do was help you find a resolution.

If there was a widespread outage of Soundcloud on Sonos, this forum (not to mention Sonos support) would be inundated with complaints*, and the status page would be updated to reflect that outage.  Yet, there is only your single thread.  Hence the (correct) suggestion by @Airgetlam that it is far more probable that you and a few others on reddit are experiencing local issues, and the steps to follow for resolution of those local issues.

*As an example, there was once an update problem with a single Sonos device, the Playbar, and it only manifested itself with certain TV’s.  The main complaint thread hit hundreds of posts in the first day.

And I’ve just run across another new thread:

And I appreciate your responses. I’m in the UK so support is closing now but if the problem still exists on Monday I’ll give them a call. And maybe in the meantime there’s some other users who see this and have a workaround.

Given that there appeared to be an S2 update yesterday, at least for iOS, it’s certainly hard to be certain where the fault lies. I’d certainly be bugging both Sonos and SoundCloud until I was certain.

I've had this issue since yesterday on Android, just tried to re add SoundCloud service via my iPhone and it's also failed...

I'm also UK

I hadn’t upgraded until after the issue occurred. Used Soundcloud via the app all day and about 2 hours ago it stopped suddenly. Upgraded to see if that maybe resolved it but no luck.

It would now appear that Sonos has recognized the outage:

Identified - We've identified a problem with SoundCloud on Sonos and are working with them on a fix. You may not be able to sign in to your SoundCloud account on Sonos until it’s resolved.

Don’t know why you say there’s no indication of an issue with SoundCloud… a pop up appears immediately stating there is when logging onto this forum,

Because, at the time I wrote that, there was no data reflected there. Time has passed, things have been modified.

Good grief. 🙄

I am still experiencing troubles with connecting/browsing/playing Soundcloud on S1. I have readded the service, and it still works really unregularly.

Used to work like a dream. Started approx 6 days ago. Have reset devices and WIFI other services work as they should.

What did support say, when you called in?

If you’re an Apple user.. do yourself a favor and get the SONOPHONE  app .. works excellent. My SoundCloud hasn’t skipped a beat.
