Soundcloud not playing


I usually play music from my SoundCloud account on my Sonos speakers. However, it’s two days that it keeps asking me to reauthorise, which I’ve done several times, but it still isn’t working.

I’ve tried removing and re-adding SoundCloud to Sonos, but it keeps showing the message, “Unable to browse music”

I contacted Sonos support and they can’t find any solution. 
 

Can Sonos help? Anyone has any tips?

Hi Everyone,

We can confirm that there is (still) an issue with browsing and re-authorising SoundCloud on Sonos systems. We have updated our service status page to reflect this, and have informed SoundCloud of the issue.

I have rebooted Wi-Fi hub, rebooted all Sonos devices, done system update, deleted and re-added SoundCloud service - in a loop of it wanting to re authorise which have done about 10 times with different codes.  All other music services work

The status page keeps changing from showing an issue to a green tick.  So it looks like there are some intermittent issues still.

My SoundCloud data is not loading on Sonos. I'm using iOS and it's been doing this for several days now. I downloaded the Sonos app on my macOS and it keeps taking me to re-authorize in a loop.

 

This is clearly a Sonos API issue and they need to fix it immediately. There are so many nuances with Sonos that I'm starting to wonder if I should rip it out and go with a different system. Unless Sonos can get their act together and issue an update and fix the API issue and get SoundCloud working again I'm gonna switch. If they can't get it right, it's time to short the stock!

Seems to be a SoundCloud issue if you read the post from Corry…so have patience grasshopper..it’ll get better and be resolved.

This is an absolute **** show from Sonos, I’ve been using SoundCloud for years and most of my music catalog is on there but it stopped working over the Christmas period without any warning from Sonos.

It seems like everyone is jumping ship at Sonos these days CEO Patrick Spence and chief product officer Maxime Bouvat-Merlin all this week, which is quite worrying if I’m honest especially after all the trouble with the app and the grovelling and backtracking over it all.

my worry is, is that I may be forced to sell my entire system as none of this fills me with confidence and that Sonos is going backwards and are imploding within.

Sonos should be constantly looking to improve it's features and not removing them, so the question is whether I should cut my losses and get rid of all 4 of my speakers now 🤔
