I can’t get iPhone & iPad apps to load playlists - but my Windows app can. It never gets boring with SONOS.

Using the webapp on iPad & iPhone works fine with playlists.

Maybe late in the dialogue but a small

workaround you can from the Tidal app via AirPlay connect to your Sonos product and even group.

Not perfect but works until its fixed

Hello everyone....on 6/11/2025 I contacted the director of the company because this problem affects several users - I am sending the answer below:

Thank you for contacting Sonos, and the office of the CEO. I'm a senior member of the Sonos Customer Experience team.
My name is Tim S, I am a supervisor here at Sonos and I will be handling your escalated case.

I fully recognize the significance of enjoying your playlists without interruption, and I appreciate you reaching out to us.

The issue with Tidal has been identified by our team. When you initially contacted us, reports of this problem began to emerge, and on November 3rd, our support agents were formally notified. This explains why you were not informed during your earlier contact, as we were still gathering information about this developing situation, which is now confirmed as a known issue.

Our engineering team is actively collaborating with Tidal to resolve this matter promptly. At this time, we ask for your patience, as we cannot yet provide a definitive timeline for the resolution. However, please be assured that this problem is being addressed with priority.

With best regards,

Tim S

Just for fun....last week I tested several devices from Bluesound, Cambridge Audio, NAD, Eversolo and Wiim - all devices have no problem with Tidal - they stream everything, both from their app and via Tidal Connect...

I’m experiencing the same issue. I am relieved that it is not just me, but discouraged that it’s going on 2 plus weeks with no resolution.

Issue: Not able to use my Tidal playlist via the Sonos mobile app.

Error: Something went wrong

A very vague error with no useful information.

Like others here, I’ve tried rebooting router. Uninstalling and reinstalling Sonos app and tidal.

I’m posting here to hopefully add some urgency to this issue

Interestingly if I start playing a playlist via the Sonos web app the mobile app will show the playlist content and allow you control volume, skip track etc. if you flick out of the detailed song list there’s no playlist title information but starting via the web app can still give you some access via phone or IPad.

Hello everyone, current info from 11/13/25

Thank you for your reply,
This is not necessarily a bug for Sonos to fix, but rather for the music service themselves, the music service is responsible for how their music is displayed within the Sonos app.
We have no insight in how far Tidal is with the implementation of the solution, we hope the solution is provided as soon as possible, we can only ask for patience while the music partner is investigating and hopefully applying a fix in the near future.

With best regards,

Tim S

The problem is still ongoing. Tidal app updated today, playlists still not working on Sonos.

Same issue here - has been going on since beginning of November and still is.

Well, maybe, but actually only happened since a Sonos update a few weeks ago. Tidal has only updated once since, today actually and still no solution. Please tell Tidal what you did about three weeks ago and then they maybe able to implement a solution.

I'm having the same issue. Now with a bonus issue of not being able to cast to Sonos speakers within the tidal app either. So I've got some very expensive doorstops on my hands

Hi everyone,
I contacted Tidal support again....but I'm giving up.
Tidal claims that the fault is with Sonos, Sonos claims that everything is fine and the fault is with the Tidal music service.
I can only say that both sides have an "excellent" approach to the user.
So, unsubscribe from Tidal....and use Spotify, Deezer or Apple Music, Amazon Music.
I'm not a sheep to pay for a service that doesn't work.

Hello @Palco and everyone!

I am sorry to hear you are experiencing an issue while using Tidal playlists within the Sonos App.

We are aware of this issue and are currently working with Tidal to resolve it as soon as possible but with no ETA on when the fix will become available.

Seeing that there are multiple threads in regard to this issue, I would request everyone to be patient and use the available workarounds below until it’s resolved:

  1. Direct Control via Tidal App
  2. Airplay if iOS devices are available to you
  3. Line-In

Once I have an update for you, I’ll post it on this thread.

I hope this helps.

I had this issue as well and I decided to use direct control from the TIDAL app which was working fine. Yesterday. As of this morning (right after updating the TIDAL app, because its search function wasn’t working), I can no longer connect to either of my Sonos Play:1 speakers from the TIDAL app. So that’s… fun.

On iOS you can use the alternative Sonify app - Tidal playlists work without a problem... Android users have to wait for a fix. So where is the problem???

Just read all these. I have been having this issue for months and only just realized more people are having it. It used to work fine so something has changed! I need Sonos and Tidal to work together and resolve it! Both are good systems!

Same issues for me. Tidal playlists was working with my Sonos system until a week ago. It was sketchy but it worked. I really don’t want to buy another speaker system. Thanks for your urgent attention.

I think I found a work around.

As people mentioned the Tidal personal playlists show up on the Web App and then that playlist shows up on the mobile App recently played. So using that:

  1. use the Web App to play any song from the playlist.
  2. Then use the Mobile App. The playlist should show up on the recently played section.
  3. Then only on The MOBLE APP tap on the playlist on the recently played and the list should be all visible as it would on Tidal.
  4. Tap the 3 dots … on the top section of the playlist selected and add it to Sonos Favorites.
  5. The list will then show up in the Sonos favorites section.

you need to do that with every playlist.

Same two issues with tidal. Would love to see the solution. Really surprised that support can't see these are known issues and stop wasting time

Thanks for posting this workaround. Unfortunately, when I got to Step 3, it said Content is Unavailable and would not show me the playlist or allow we to save it as as a Favorite. It will show Tidal featured playlists, but NOT my own. So, as of 15 Nov 2025, there is still no way to either stream directly to Sonos speakers from the Tidal app, or to access Tidal playlists through the Sonos app. I really wish they would just fix the direct streaming issue, so we wouldn't need to use the Sonos app at all.

This sucks, because I really want to leave Spotify and make the move to Tidal.

It’s good to have consepts of work arounds. Unfortunately, at 70, mobile app and web app is kind of like Greek. I started with Sonos over 20 years ago because they were leaders and had amazing support. Now the support is terrible and I am several weeks into not being able to listen to tidal playlists. I upgraded over the past two years with lots of expensive equipment. I gave up Sonos support and just paid each time I got new equipment to get it installed and working. The technician did it quickly but the key is what used to be on of the best customer support programs is now a joke. Sonos continues to need to improve how the deal with customers or those customers are going to start flocking to other products

Tidal connect not working.

Tidal playlists not showing up in sonos app.

Voice services not working in my region.

Excellent sound, but utterly disappointing user experience.

Same exact issue showed up about 10 days ago with playlists. Plus TIDAL Connect stopped working. Ugh
