Question

Sonos Radio unable to play since app update

Since the app update Sonos is asking to reauthorise my account but is just going round in a loop. I now can't play any stations. Have a beam and a pair of SL1's

Same problem over here.

Same here. Reinstalling doesn’t work, nor does rebooting speakers. It works normally on my desktop app, so reauthorizing isn’t the problem; the app is. Kind of funny (*) though, that their own radio system doesn’t work after an app update.

(*) Trying desperately to see the humor in this new app mess.

Also having the same issue

I’m having the same issue. Sonos chat gave an answer that did not work especially as the menu he sent me to did not have the suggested item.

very frustrated. At least Spotify on Sonos still works, just can’t listen to the radio.

Same issue here in Denmark. Using iPad pro 11 (2. gen)😡

How soon will we be able to listen to radio. It’s been over a week now!

Do Sonos care?

same. Won’t play anything since I updated.

Another app update. No go.

Do Sonos care? It’s been over a week since the offending new App.

The share price has only gone down a little way, so I don’t think they have any incentive

There have been two updates since the original release of the 80.x version of S2. See release notes here

Yup. No change.  All issues unresolved.

Sonos: “It takes courage to rebuild a brand’s core product from the ground up, and to do so knowing it may require taking a few steps back to ultimately leap into the future.”

Right. Most of all it takes thinking, beta testing and quality control. Courage comes in when you launch a half baked product.

Looks like we all have this problem. Having just seen the pathetic coding of the sign up form for this community, I would say they are pretty useless at coding and QA. I may have to finally throw this device away. However I bought Sonos because Bose (far far more expensive and quite some years ago) also would not work.

Hopefully there’s an open sourcing activity going on somewhere out there in ‘code developer land’.

Same problem. Having so many problems with Sonos - driving me nuts. Wish i’d never bought into this brand, but having spent money on a system I need it to work.

The Sonos App is useless, causes so many arguments. The web page is slightly better but not perfect.
