The Sonos queue exists but has no art or track details. I have factory reset the Symfonisk speakers and checked the Sonos app is the latest version. What can I do?
Please stop factory resetting your speakers, that isn’t going to help.
Instead post a screenshot of the problem, tell us what kind of device you are using, and what the source of the queue content is.
Any chance you are on Android and using the Music Library?
Answer there is easy, Sonos broke that, they say it will be fixed.
Hi Guys
I am using a Brennan B3 as the source of music and Symfonisk speakers. The B3 sends 20 random tracks which play perfectly. However, the Sonos app does not show what’s in the queue. The 20 tracks can be moved up and down the queue but you don’t know what you are moving. I’m running the Sonos app on my iPhone and the same behaviour occurs on my iPad Pro. Any advice would be welcome.
What does the Desktop app show? Looks like a Brennan problem to me, its not sending the metadata that Sonos expect on the UPnP streams.
Obviously I am not an expert. However, the metadata must reach Sonos or it wouldn’t be displayed on the first two screens. It’s only the queue that isn’t displaying.
I have been reading the forum around this topic and it seems that the queue can be hundreds of tracks long. Does this apply to IKEA Symfonisk as well as Sonos? The maximum queue I can get is 20 tracks and I assumed this to be a limit of the Symfonisk. I haven’t tried the desktop app as I wouldn’t normally use it. I’ll give it a try and report back.
Thanks for your help.

I believe the queue size limit is 65535. I have never tested it with more than 30k items myself.
Symfonisk is no different to any other Sonos speaker in this regard.
Hi Guys
I have tried the WebUi for Sonos. Unfortunately it is worse than the app.
Please see the screenshot.
There is no information displayed for the track now playing and the queue is completely blank. The forward and back control is operational. Using the app at the same time allows the same function as before. So album art is visible on the app but not on the web.
I think the queue may be longer than the 20 tracks on the app but trying to scroll to see how many slots are available just brings up a spinning arrow.
As ever your advice is greatly appreciated.
The mobile and web apps are both in an incomplete state and have been fix six months now, neither can be trusted.
Please, try the Desktop app, which should reveal if its another app issue or an potential Sonos problem (though I still think the Brennan code is the most likely suspect).
So I fired up the laptop and through the SONOS site loaded the web app.
The web app shows that The Wailin Jennys is playing but the queue is blank. The photo shows my iPhone displaying the SONOS mobile app next to the laptop screen for comparison. Artwork is reaching the mobile app but not the web app.
The search continues.
Try the desktop app as Controlav suggests. If it’s not working there either you’ll know it’s your server thing or not.
Obviously I’m missing something here. I am not a computer whiz and mostly just expect things to work.
I got the PC fired up and checked the Microsoft App Store and couldn’t find a Sonos app. Then I logged into the Sonos website and found a link to the web app. That’s where I was when the photo was taken.
Seemingly, this is not the desktop app everyone is talking about. So please do me a favour and explain how I find the desktop app.
Thank you in advance.

Download here:https://support.sonos.com/en-us/downloads under “Windows”.
Thanks to jgatie I found and downloaded the Windows app.
As you can see from the photo the Windows app is working perfectly! The album art and track details are displayed in the correct fashion. Hooray!
Just guessing but I suppose the iOS app that I have been using is where the fault lies. Hopefully SONOS will sort it out. I would consider it a good Christmas present.
Thanks again to jgatie.
