When I try shuffle a playlist with more than around 100 tracks in the Sonos app it malfunctions. The app adds thousands and thousands of tracks, up to 35,000 which are presumably just duplicates of what's in the playlist. And it just shuffles a few tracks from the playlist repeating them over and over. It's impossible to clear the playlist while it's doing this as well. What's going on? Is there a fix?

The playlist in the photo actually has around 1800 tracks but by the time I took the screenshot Sonos was already up to 11400 in the queue and was still adding more.

Hello @Zielwolf, welcome back!

I am sorry to hear you are experiencing issues when shuffling a Sonos Playlist in the Sonos App. We are currently investigating this issue and there is no ETA for a fix.

There’s been a relatively high number of threads in regards to this issue in our Community lately, but surprisingly enough a very low number of cases registered from our Support Team.

For this reason I would highly recommend you reach out and report this behavior to our Support Team so that more cases and information will be tagged to it.

I will make sure to reply on this thread with an update, when I get one.

I hope this helps.

Can anyone help as none of these threads cover the issue.

All I want to do is go into my music library (NOT APPLE MUSIC), click on a playlist I have created, and shuffle.

I can do that via the desktop app but I cannot do it via my iphone or ipad. WTF? Just when Sonos fix something it goes rogue again, what a dreadful product.

Can ANYONE at Sonos understand this issue and give me an answer please? It’s the main reason I bought Sonos and now I can’t do it.
