Please can someone explain me how the mobile app works (or actually does not work)???

Each time I open it, if I want to access some of the settings, I have to login to my Sonos account… So I login… I then have access to some of the settings but for example if I want to add a device, I am asked to login… But I am already login!!!! Then I have a message that I have to login as the owner of the system…

I found a “ transfert ownership” feature… I did the process with, at least, two logins involved but still the same nonsense: I cannot access to some settings and I am repeatedly asked to login as the owner of the system!!!

Of course when I am logged in either in the app or on the web site… There is no way to register a product or a system.

Sound quality of your products are very good but honestly the app the worst I had to experienced in ages.

Anyways, if someone is able to tell me how to register my product and/or how to have access to all the app features, I’ll really be grateful;

I would recommend a call to Sonos Support directly to discuss it.

When you speak directly to the phone folks, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.


This is speculation…it sounds as if you have Sonos products registered under different accounts. Four (4) questions:

Did you acquire the products as used?

Did you change your registration email?

Did you at anytime delete and reinstall the Sonos app and select “create a system” rather than “join an existing system” wherein you created a new account with different credentials?

Could someone in your household have done something and created a new account?
