sonos app crashes as soon as I login to my sonos account. It has been working well for 3 years, and suddenly it started crashing. The same happens on my wife's phone. We bothe have android phones.
Might be worth mentioning which version of the Android OS is running on both phones, as well as which Sonos controller (S1 or S2] that you’re trying to run.
There’s no danger of losing data if you delete the controller from your phones, and redownload and install ‘fresh’ copies, as long as you don’t factory reset your speakers, and select ‘connect to existing system’ when you start the new controller up the first time.
You may want to call Sonos Support directly to discuss it, too.
Hi Bruce
Thank you for replying. Both phones are on Android 12, with latest updates installed. And it is S2 controller we are using. The app started crashing I think on Thursday last week or so. I uninstalled and installed and it was working fine until I logged in to my Sonos account. Hitting login button caused the app to shut down. After several retries it stays open and it shows I am still logged in to my account but it may crash again and require several restarts.
I submitted diagnostics and received reference number 638315587.
Glad you were able to submit that diagnostic. What did Sonos support say about it when you called them?
apple OS crashes
That’s frustrating. We’d need a ton more information in order to provide any potential assistance. Or you could contact Sonos support.
Running iPhone 15 pro max on 17.5 updated to latest Sonos App tonight and it was crashing.
Running Arc, player, one, subs and all are S2 products.
previous App never had an issue only the new app released from May 7.
Deleted app and downloaded it again and it stayed up until I signed bac into my account and then from that moment it just crashed.
I found it I quickly went into settings and by accident hit the shop option and then went back to app it stayed working.
but if you full close the app then it keeps crashing within seconds of opening.
Ising the trick above I was able to send diagnostics out and have the ref number.
Very annoying

This exact thing is happening to me on Android on a Pixel 7 Pro. Have to delete the app to be able to connect, but as soon as I sign into my account it automatically crashes and will not stay open. Been going on for 2 days.
Same here. App crash after login to sonos.
iPhone 15 Pro

Its super frustrating
Same here, cannot use Sonos App as soon as i login :-/
Same problem here. Super frustrating indeed. If anyone has the solution, please reach out.
Also iPhone 15 pro. Only 1 system with 4 speakers
App has been getting stuck on the splash screen and then crashing for a few weeks now. Uninstalling and reinstalling will have the app work for a few days, then it goes back to crashing.
This is on iOS 17.5.1

Maybe get in touch with Sonos Support, but just to add I have the latest Sonos App on an iPhone XR and iPad Pro (3rd Gen) and an iPad 10, each running on 17.5.1 and the App has been rock solid on those devices - but it might be a particular iOS device model, or perhaps something running on that device.
You can perhaps read the device crash logs yourself too, or go onto provide Sonos Staff with the iOS *.ips crash logs from your device "Settings/Privacy & Security/Analytics & Improvements/Analytics Data” and with any luck, that may help their Engineers get to the root cause of your issue.
