I have a new router and all my equipment switched but not Sonos Speakers. I uninstalled it then re-installed now you can’t get it to open. This is awful.
This Sonos support link provides the necessary details to switch router…

Hope it helps you to resolve the matter.
Thank you, I reinstalled the app as instructed at one point now it will not open. Do I redo all that?

You don’t need to reinstall the Sonos App - it can be simply ‘reset’ if the Household has been completely wiped-out by factory resetting all products in one fell swoop - that’s certainly not recommended. So don’t do that.
I’d just wire one non factory-reset Sonos product to your router and then reboot the other players and when all are showing in the App, go onto remove/replace the old WiFi credentials with the new ones, as instructed.
Note, it’s best to use a more modern Sonos product with .BLE built-in to add the new WiFi credentials to it these days, as the process is really simple using that connection method.
If you get stuck, rather than factory resetting any of your devices, it might be easier and perhaps save you time, if you let Sonos Support walk you through the steps. The link to call them is here:

By the way another simple option is to change the new router SSID/Password to match your old router - then everything should just connect.
I think calling is the best option, I used old router pw and then new one and it won’t take either.
I have done it all and reinstalled the app on my phone we were doing good then when I enter the router password it rejects it. I used the old ATT password from the old router, nothing workes. The router company gave me the password and it does’t work.
I just need to put them out on market place and get another brand.

Perhaps a silly question, but did you change the SSID in the Sonos network settings? The old SSID will not work with your new router, no matter what password you use. Did you not get in touch with Sonos Support, like you mentioned earlier?
I was going to call tomorrow but tried again tonight. How did I change the SSID I didn’t see where I could do this?
Fixed it, don’t know what I did but it works. wow….. YEA
One more thing the app on my laptop will not open the icon appears big then goes away.

Ah glad to hear you now have things connected. See below re laptop App…
You could try a reset of the App - see here:
https://support.sonos.com/en-us/article/reset-the-sonos-app
Or you could uninstall the App instead and get the latest Sonos App from here:
https://support.sonos.com/en-us/downloads?language=en_US
Then on re-opening the App, accept the T&C’s etc and select the option to connect the App to your "existing” Sonos System. Do not create a new System.
I have downloaded the app and it shows and Icon (just like the last two days) and it will not open or show me the old dashboard.

Are you referring to the installer that you downloaded? Did you uninstall and then reinstall the Sonos App?
I originally uninstalled then downloaded the exe file and installed it. It would never reinstall and let me do anything. The icon came up big and then went away. I found the web app and shortcut it. But the exe file won’t let me do anything with the app itself. Maybe the web app is the best Idea.

The reason it’s not working is Windows Security Center, I suspect you are using Windows defender and you have enabled it to prevent running Apps downloaded from the internet - if you search online it will explain to you how to workaround that new Microsoft security feature when Apps are not from their App Store.
Hope you can sort it - check your Windows security center for more information.
Thank you I will and thank you for helping me. I am 72 years old and it has been a long journey on computers since my IBM PC in the early 80s. Just too much out there. Thank you very much.

Ah you’re younger than my Brother & Sister and a little older than myself - I’m sure you can get your ‘wise’ head around these things. If nothing else, you can always disable the features in Windows defender security center and install the App and then immediately enable the features again afterwards. That’s if you want to keep things simple.
Yesterday Microsoft did a huge update and so I will try it again and if not call and try it. Again thank you for all your help. I appreciate it. Good for my mind to work on these things.
