Should I buy the Beam 2 at the moment or is the new app still bug ridden?

I may get bashed for what I have to say, but here goes...

While this question has been posted and answered many times before, I will give my opinion here:

There are MANY users who have little to no issues with the new app. I have some minor issues, but I don't feel that the issues are relevant enough to post here and bash it. But there are many that do just that. The problem with that is, negativity speaks louder that positivity, and there are some who are quick to jump on the negative bandwagon giving it a louder voice.

There are many who are angry about the new app, stating that it is “destroying their lives”..

To this I say, “if your right hand is your enemy, cut it off”. In other words get rid of Sonos and move onto something else if it is affecting your life... PLEASE!

Because, that's what I would do.

@Old Duffer, if you have a Sonos system in your home and are not having any issues, there should be nothing stopping you from purchasing new gear to expand your enjoyment. If you are having issues, I would reach out to Sonos support to solve the issue before investing further into the ecosystem.

But if you are using the old app and have speakers that are compatible with the new app, try upgrading to the new app before you spend money on a new speaker. You can always downgrade if you are not satisfied with the new app.

I would admit that I am a Sonos fanboy, because Sonos has worked excellently within my home.. even through the new app release. I use the app for all my streaming services as well as for my local library. I even took the plunge an bought a Five and a pair of Era 100s last year to upgrade a few older speakers.

Can't say that I am disappointed in my purchase..
