Sono S1 with Sequoia 15.3. Music Library 'No Selections Found'

I have recently upgraded to Sequoia 15.3 on my iMac and as usual after every update my Sonos system stops working

This time, my apple music library is not found - all views say ‘No Selections are available’

I have checked the usual issues around file and media sharing settings but these look ok, so tried removing the assigned library and re-adding as the ‘found music folder’ and the when this did not work i tried adding the ‘manual menu path’ from my user path. I also tried uninstalling and re-installing the S1 app but nothing.

Anyone else had this issue?

  • Open System Settings on your Mac.

  • Click on Privacy & Security, then Full Disk Access.

  • Toggle on Sonos Library Server.

  • Open the Sonos app.

  • Update your music library by navigating to the Music Librarymenu under the Select a Music Source section.

This should allow you to browse your music library.

Hi @sdennis99,

I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble accessing your Music Library on Sonos. It sounds like the Mac update changed some settings, which can happen when updating operating systems (I’ve seen it happen on my Windows PC and Android phone).

If you haven’t, I would recommend following the steps listed in our ‘Share your music folder in macOS’ article. This will let you add your library to Sonos and takes you through the steps on what folder permissions to change.

If the article above doesn’t help, then I’d suggest reaching out to our support team to troubleshoot this with them. They have the necessary tools available to help get your library working with your system again.

I hope this helps!

Thanks Jamie

I checked all those steps and still get the same issue, so will log a support ticket

Upgraded my MacMini to Sequoia and lost connection to my music library on Sonos 1.  Tried everything over the last couple of days (at least I think I did) that I saw on this forum, to resolve my issue.  Having exhausted the options, I tried the Sonos Bot and to be fair, it’s the best one I’ve encountered.  The setting I’d not toggled previously, was simply; Settings>Privacy&Security>SonosLibraryServer.  Once that was on, the issue was instantly resolved!  Hope that saves someone else going for the hair transplant that I now need ;-)
