Recently, the Sonos S2 Controller software fails to load on my Windows 11 laptop. It shows the splash logo but that just stays on the screen and gets no further. I can only close it via Task Manager. I have uninstalled Sonos, rebooted, downloaded the installer and installed it, but the same thing occurs. Any ideas? Perhaps a recent Windows Update has broken something?

Hi

Did you download the S2 controller from here? If not try it to see if that version works.

Yes that’s exactly where I downloaded it from.

You may want to call Sonos Support directly to discuss it. They can likely help look at any error logs, and figure out why it is failing to run.

Next week the Desktop app will be obsolete, and you can use the new Sonos web app.

I think May7 is two weeks away, currently ;)

Thanks, I can cope with just using the Android app and then I’ll see what happens when the web version appears.

Doh. Math is hard.
