Has anyone else noticed that the new Playlist Editing feature isn’t working correctly?  

 

Here is the sequence I followed;

Using latest Android App Version 80.20.33  OS version 85.0.64200

I added a sonos playlist to the queue, (quite large 150 tracks).

Since you can no longer edit the queue in situ and then save the results as a new playlist (or overwrite the original) I resorted to opening the playlist into Edit mode whilst the music was playing from the queue.

I then tried to edit the playlist and what I noticed was that several of the tracks were not showing up in the Edit Playlist view even though they were playing in the queue so I know that the playlist originally contained the tracks. 

I closed the playlist edit function and tried again - the playlist definitely has the tracks yet when I try to edit the playlist some of them don’t appear. 

I repeated this multiple times and the problem was inconsistent with different tracks disappearing during the edit process.

There was nothing special about the missing tracks, all FLAC format no quirky characters in the names etc.

 

A year in the waiting for this simple feature and it seems to be less than reliable.     

Long live the PC version , at least with that you can still edit the queue in situ and save it as a playlist!

I’m sorry to hear that the playlist function isn’t working correctly for you.

I just tested on my system and didn’t notice any missing tracks, though my Sonos playlist isn’t as large as your is. Would you be able to replicate the issue and share some screenshots or a short video of the issue so I can check with the team to see if they can replicate this. Even if different tracks are missing, it would be good to have images that show tracks are missing from the edit playlist menu.

If you can test with another controller as well, preferably another mobile device, then please let me know if the issue persists across devices.

BUT In the EDIT PLAYLIST view of the Sonos Playlist that created the queue;   

The song playing (Beautiful Day) is missing

and

Elevation

Kite

In a Little While

 

are also all missing (but they are in the queue and about to play next! )

The same thing happens on the next album queued up. 

 

The IPADOS App v 80.20.34 suffers from exactly the same problem.

AND

having just installed 80.20.34 on the IPAD I now find that it prompts me to “Get Started with Setup”  every single time I start the App  !!!!!!  Arggghhhhhhh
