Hi, my playbar is connected to the TV via an audio cable & Ethernet to the router. When I stream my music to all speakers the playbar cuts in and out throughout. Around 30 second between and then off for 5 seconds. (TV on standby) If I unplug the TV audio cable then it works fine. Is there anything I can do to cure this without having to keep removing the audio cable from the back of the TV every time I stream my music?
As you mention the Brennan B3+ in the headline, does the issue just occur when playing from the Brennan? Did you try playing from online services like Spotify?
If the cut outs happen when playing from the Brennan, how is it connected to your Sonos system? Cabled? Or wireless playing via Sonos local API?
And did you try a different optical cable to connect your Playbar to the TV?
Hi
Welcome to the Sonos Community!
Sorry to hear about this issue you are having with audio interruptions on your Playbar when playing music with the optical cable connected.
We are aware of this issue and are investigating, but we have no estimate for when a fix might be put in place. I will update this thread when I hear of it, however.
If you happen to have a Sony TV connected to your Playbar, the following should help:
Enabling IP Simple Control
- Open the Sony TV's Settings.
- Navigate to Network and Internet.
- Select Home network.
- Select IP control.
- Toggle Simple IP control on.
Setting RS232C Control to "Via Serial Port"
Note: Some Sony televisions do not have RS232C Control options. In these instances, the following steps are not necessary.
- Open the Sony TV's Settings.
- Select Remotes and Accessories
- Select RS232C Control
- Select Via Serial Port.
I hope this helps.
Hi Cory. I do have a Sony Bravia. I followed your instructions and it appears to have cured the problem. Many thanks
Hi
