Play 1 x 2 (Gen 1) + Sonos Playbar + Sonos Boost all cannot be found on App

Hi All,

I have the listed equipment  Play 1 x 2 (Gen 1) + Sonos Playbar + Sonos Boost and none can be found on the app.

I have tried to factory reset one Play 1 and connect via Ethernet cable to the router (whilst Boost was connected) the app recognised it, but would not go to the next step of creating a new system.

My system has not been recognised for about 3 to 4 months. I am frankly sick of having dead speaker ornaments in my house that music should be coming out of. I will attempt to call Sonos support tomorrow.

If I get through and we can resolve, I will post the solution here.

Backstory - These products were all working up to 3 months ago and controlled via the app. the products are not defective. I have owned them for many years. If there is another way of controlling them and linking them, please share.

Appreciate any advice.

Thanks

Back online now - all units working.

Had to connect the Factory Reset one back to Ethernet and router.

Switching the router off and Boost and switching on seemed to do the trick. The Playbar came back online and then I could easily add the non factory reset Play 1.

Thanks for your help

Hi.  Please can you give details of your network?  Simple single router setup?  Or is there a mesh, access points, extenders etc?

Please stop factory resetting things.  Why are you trying to set up a new system?  Please confirm what you have reset.

Single router setup

Not set up as surround speakers

The app suggested to factory reset. Only have done this with one Play 1.

Thanks

Thanks for extra info.  It’s good that you have only reset one device.

I suggest you connect by Ethernet the Play:1 speaker that has NOT been reset.

Power off the router and all Sonos speakers.

Power up router and let it come fully back up.

Power the wired Play:1 fully back on.

Power on the Playbar

Leave the Boost and the Play:1 you reset powered off for the moment.

Can you see your system?  Please post back at this point either way.
