When will the app do better?

My issues overal not working

Not finding my system everytime it starts up

Not able to find last items played 

Not finding favorites

Not able to adjust volume

I always used the Sonos app with spolltify now O use Spotify again and Yess mot able to group devices..

Me and My Sonos devices and apps go way back... But the Experience is not very nice at the moment...I hope it will improve fast.

Have you installed today’s app update?


Many of those issues are indicative of the controller having a hard time connecting to your speakers. After updating to today’s release, do a network refresh, by unplugging all your Sonos devices from power, then rebooting your router. Wait a couple of minutes for the router to come back up before plugging in your Sonos devices. Wait a couple of more minutes for the Sonos devices to boot, and reconnect to the router before testing.

If this helps, you may want to research in the router’s manual on how to set up reserved IP addresses for your network. 

However, if this doesn’t help, I would recommend that you submit a system diagnostic within 10 minutes of experiencing this problem, and call Sonos Support to discuss it.

There may be information included in the diagnostic that will help Sonos pinpoint the issue and help you find a solution.

When you speak directly to the phone folks, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.
