Starting to lose my patience with this now. I’ve had numerous phone calls and chats, read up on the site forums. Is it just me or does sonos and BT not work?

I’ve tried disabling all security on all devices 🙄

Any help before I stick this lot on ebay and buy something that actually works?

Is it me or the product? 😔

So, because clearly there is an issue here just delete the thread.

The Sonos roam was launched in 2021, yes 3 years after bts “old” smart hub 2.

surely you guys would check compatibility prior launching ?

Re launch the roam with a built in router 😂🙈

I would perhaps advertise this for people that use BT. I now see why so many people were leaving bad reviews about poor connectivity. I believe these people were probably BT customers or maybe plusnet (also bt)

People need to be able to budget the cost of a new router or they need to switch broadband providers.

perhaps factoring this cost in prior purchasing would alter the brand choice ??

@Corry P May I ask why you want to delete this thread ?

I suppose the lesson to be learnt here for me is not to buy cheaper American brands. Rather stick to the British quality brands that we make here in the UK. This is assuming of course Sonos refuse to rectify this issue ?

I suppose the app reviews speak for itself. It’s nothing to do with the router at all. If it was then why does the desktop app work perfectly fine ???

My desktop PC has no issue connecting to the same Sonos speakers on the same network with the same router.

surely if it was a router problem then this would affect my desktop pc?

One would rather think that perhaps Sonos know they have an app with poor connectivity issues but rather just choose to sweep it under the rug and continue selling …

It actually works pretty well on apple macbook too, same network same router

are you sure it’s my router ?

Actually I take that back, it still has connection issues there lol

I give up. Don’t see why I should have to buy a new router.

Don’t delete this thread yet as I want to try the steps listed.

This thread has run it’s course - the answer has been given, and this thread is going nowhere that’s useful to anyone.

The thread will not be deleted - we don’t do that. But it will now be closed to further discourse.
