At last it seems A to Z scrolling of local library folders is back along with some Sonos Ace features including, it would seem, the long awaited Truecinema.

I can’t see the scrolling yet so assume it’s rolling out to devices over the next few days, how does that work though even I’m on the new versions?

Looks like support for connecting two Ace headsets to a single soundbar is here too.

Hmmmm.
I can see A-Z scrolling on my iPad but not on my iPhone. Both apps were updated to the latest version.

Features will appear gradually in stages.

Try force closing and reopening iPhone app. That may refresh it if your account has already been flagged for the feature.

@Mr. T

Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately it didn’t make any difference. It looks as though I just need to be patient. 😀

Last suggestion would be to sign out of the app and sign back in, force quit and re-open the app.

Well it’s finally arrived for me.  It’s not as smooth visually as I remember but it is fast and responsive and that's far better in my books.

Thank you Sonos.  Now if we could just get the remainder of the playlist functionality sorted that would be perfect😎

Edit to add:  I did nothing to force the update other than make sure ALL my speakers were on the latest version, which they were a week or so ago.

The Sonos app allows features to be flagged by Sonos, therefore, running the latest app/software is not enough if your account has not been flagged for the feature. I very much doubt flagging is done on an individual controller device, but on the Sonos account as a whole. Therefore, if certain devices can see the “missing” feature, there are certainly things you can try to force any problematic controller to also update in order to see the feature.

FYI: A-Z scrolling now appears on my iPhone. I didn’t update anything for this to occur.

I have no understanding as to why it appeared on my iPad a week before appearing on my iPhone, but I am happy that all is good now.

Ross.

Happy to hear it’s now working for you on your iPhone.

I’ve not seen any other reports from users to say the function is only available on certain devices but not others after they have updated.

To me, it appears there was some issue with the Sonos app on your iPhone seeing the permissions to activate the feature, which hopefully Sonos are able to monitor as part of their rollout.
