My internet and wifi connections are dropping out about every hour at approx 10 minutes past the hour. Each dropout last for about 2 to 3 minutes and then self restores the line . This has been a consistent pattern since I commenced monitoring my internet line dropouts since 1st May.

 

Telstra have (after 3 weeks of denials) investigated and their complaints department are now acknowledging that there is a problem and are deigning to investigate.

 

my question to the Sonos community concerns my use of a Sonos Music Library on a USB drive which I use for shared music. Does Sonos software check around 10 minutes past each hour to check the USB status  or condition etc

 

Could this be the source of the Internet line dropouts ?

Not to my knowledge. The Sonos ‘checks’ the library on a schedule, but you have the option of setting that, and it certainly isn’t every hour. Nor should that check cause any drops in network.
