Maybe I’m an outlier, but as a Sonos customer since the days of the ZonePlayers and CR100 controllers, I have a huge music library on a Synology NAS that I use primarily; I am not a big user of these “services” that the new app seems to put an emphasis on. After foolishly updating my app last night I was able, after much time and effort, to find my music library and play a couple tunes as a test. Ok, it worked. None of my carefully curated album art displayed and so I figured tonight I’d be posting a message asking if anyone knew why that was. Instead, tonight in my app I find that my music library is gone, gone, gone. Can somebody please explain how to get it back? The gear icon for settings is strangely devoid of much in the way of settings, including anything regarding the music library. It doesn’t seem to be a “service” but still, I looked through several pages there until giving up. I have the Windows-based app and it still shows the music library path properly configured so I am at a loss. I kind of consider myself pretty technical and experienced in app navigation but my God, for the life of me this redesign is maddeningly obtuse.

And are alarms gone, gone, gone as well?! They are used daily here. Why oh why would you remove them?

Hey Johnny,

I was able to fix the same issue by using the MacOS Sonos app on my computer to delete my Music Library and then add it back.  This new app has been very problematic.

Thanks Ernie. I hope someone has a workaround short of that, but if not, it is good to have that as a brute force option.

Well today the music library has reappeared. I did not change anything. The album art still does not display.

This app sucks, my music is gone as well, still not fixed. I’m done buying any additional Sonos crap when this is what they do to their customers

You may have a month to wait for music library access:

I also lost my music library with the new update, and I cannot add it - getting the 913 error. I am on MacOS.

Seriously, what is wrong with this company? Are they the Boeing of music now?

Completely lost the music library.  And now, trying to add it back in through the computer app (which I also had to update), it still does not see the music library (getting error 913 - whatever that is).

If I didn’t have all this SONOS gear, I’d be looking to immediately change.  This is unacceptable behavior from a company...

I called customer service about my missing library.  The support person read from a script and tried to help me solve the issue.  When there was no resolving the issue, she said there was no mention of this in their records and she would have to refer my case to a higher up.  I googled the issue and there are countless comments about missing libraries?

I have had exactly the same issue and when I called Sonos technical support, they said they are aware of it and will be addressed soon. No idea about timeline though.

They also confirmed that you cannot downgrade new products to S1 anymore through any of the latest apps. Which end does my system a bit useless in the meantime. Again this is a feature they claim they will add back.

Which renders my system a bit useless in the meantime. I have just replaced four connects with ports.

I have just replaced four connects with ports.

I will need to go back to the connects until this is sorted. It’s a truly poor customer experience

Depending on what your library issues are, there may be a solution in mid June.

A less than satisfactory work around involves playing whatever you want on your computer, then choose a SONOS element from the menu under the sound icon on the computer’s main menu bar. Mine shows each SONOS speaker. Choose one, and then from the SONOS app group that with any other speaker(s) you wish. It is imperfect, and I have at times just gone back to Real Jazz on SiriusXM.

I hope that the next update can rectify this, unless they are just trying to snag people onto their streaming service. I really hate it when hardware becomes a subscription, but you can find this in automobiles as as well.

This is peas poor service from Sonos. Did they not test it before release ? It would appear not but their software has always been a bit Heath Robinson. Looking for alternatives now. Anyone have any suggestions ?
