So what appears to be a common issue I experience is that if I quit the Sonos app on my MacBook Air (Sequoia 15.5), it is a roll of the dice if I can reopen the app and for it to reconnect to my system (2 x Symfonisk speakers in other rooms).

It turns out the workaround is to go into System Settings, Privacy & Security, Local Area Network and then to toggle off the setting assigned to Sonos then turn it back on.  THEN it will let me use the controller of my system.  I know it’s not the speakers themselves as they work perfectly well via the app on my phone.

Is anyone else experiencing this and why isnt Sonos fixing this?  I sent a diagnostics report to Technical support and the response was that everything is ok.

This dumb option (‘local network’) is Apple’s problem. It was poorly implemented on iOS and it’s recently poorly implemented on MacOS.

It’s been like this for a few months.  My “workaround” is just to reset the controller every time I change from home to work systems.

Thank you. :-)
