mixcloud not working again with sonos

A few night ago, I was getting the odd message of music not encoded, now I can start play but 5 secs in, audio is lost, the music is still counting down, the audio will pop in intermittently and then stop again. Mixcloud is the main app I use on the 8 Sonos speakers I have around the house. Can you help? I've reauthorised, removed it, added it back in.

Sounds like your speakers are having trouble maintaining a connection with the MixCloud servers. The first thing I’d try is a network refresh, by unplugging the Sonos devices, then rebooting your router. Wait two minutes, then plug back in your Sonos devices. Wait another two minutes, then test.

If the issue continues , it may be worth checking for wifi interference .

Alternately, you could submit a system diagnostic within 10 minutes of experiencing this problem, and call Sonos Support to discuss it. Don’t post the resulting diagnostic number here.

There may be information included in the diagnostic that will help Sonos pinpoint the issue and help you find a solution.

When you speak directly to the Support staff, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.

Thank you Bruce, appreciate you taking the time to respond. I’ll follow you advice and if I can't fix it myself, I'll contact Sonos support. Thanks again.

I use SoundCloud and Mixcloud. I find that at times, I’ll play a track and it doesn’t play.  Only skips around to different tracks and after a few seconds will stop on one random track and play. I find if I pause the playing track , then slide the app up on my iPhone to close it,  then open the app again, it’s all normal again. Might not make since but it works for me.

That equally sounds like trouble with the speakers maintaining a connection with the MixCloud servers.

The options I suggested cover a multitude of possible issues. I’d recommend them…as I have.
