Lost volume control dot in one room

It often happens that I cannot control the volume in one room. I can disconnect the S1 par but have no volumen control dot on the line.

Have you rebooted the controller? I’ve seen a handful (or fewer, maybe a couple) that seem to have resolved this issue by disconnecting the controller, then reconnecting. I’m not sure if I recall if these people deleted and then downloaded and ‘connected to existing system’ or not, but it’s certainly worth a try, since there is no harm in deleting a controller.

I deleted the app and re-installed it today but unfortunately it makes no difference.

Then I’d recommend you call Sonos Support directly to discuss it.

When you speak directly to the phone folks, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.
