I have just reinstalled my sonos system (missed most of the app issues as was in storage) and now have everything back working agian.

I had heard the album artwork from music library had returned to the app. Whilst I can see the artwork when I am playing the song/album, I do not see the artwork when I browse through the albums in my library or in the queue. So my question is, is the fix still needing further work and everyone has the same issue, or does everyone else have the artwork in their library seach and queue and not just when they are playing the song?

Cheers,

Simon

I can see it in the library but sometimes it is very slow to load.

It doesn't ever seem to be displayed in the recently played row on the home screen for me though.

I’m curious how your artwork is stored. Is it included in each track or stored as a folder.jpg file?

It's included in each track but also sitting in the folder as that's how I originally had it. Is that the issue, should I move all the artwork out of the folders?

I’m not sure which scheme would be faster. That’s why I asked. As a test to see which scheme takes precedence, change the folder.jpg image for a CD, and check which image is displayed. Folder.jpg would result in smaller track files and possibly less network traffic. I don’t know how the scheme is implemented. If the associated player strips artwork before sending tracks to Grouped players there would not be much, if any difference in network traffic. If folder, jpg images are held in a cache, display could be faster until an image scrolls out of the cache.

I tested it with ac/dc, some with folder.jpg done with embedded and the same result of no art for both in the library.

To add, I've just noticed it works fine on my laptop, just not my android phone.
