Isn't it time that the Sonos app should be able to see existing Media Servers?

I know that I can connect my Sonos app to my media library on my NAS, and I know that I can connect it to a Plex server- but I don’t use or like Plex - but why can’t the app writers allow me to link to my existing non-Plex servers? My media servers on my NAS automatically update the content if there are changes and I’ve only just found that the Sonos app has be updated manually (and then it has to scan through thousands of tracks). So why go through all that when my media servers have updated already??

The scan is incremental. After the initial scan, it only searches for changes.  It’s not scanning through thousands of tracks every time.

Well I seem to have a problem with the scan then because I added some music to my NAS which wasn't seen by my Sonos and then I stumbled across the update library command. It's still scanning after two hours.....
