One more issue with S2 and the new release. I had a 6 hour internet downage last night. I recently purchased BlueSound speakers. I could not stream of course, but access to my local NAS music was unaffected. This was true of the PC (downgraded) app. But it is not true of the new Sonos app. You cannot even run the app if the internet is down. It just presents a blank screen. I am not sure if this was true of the old S2. I suspect it was.
Another thing: the fact that Sonos insists on registering my speakers is annoying. And I can’t even sell them without telling Sonos about it. Not so with BlueSound. I am not sure of Denon and the other competitors. Sonos needs to loosen its grip on the user.
