How do you enter SD card directory name from Android tablet as a shared music folder in music library?

Music search no longer includes music from the SD card in my tablet.  I see the music when I select “On this mobile device” in music browse.  It used to be included in search results, but apparently not since last upgrade.  I am trying to enter the directory location in the music library setup, but I don’t know the format and the app does not browse file locations.
