Getting a playlist off a Sonos Connect

At my previous home I had all Sonos Connects and spent years building a large playlist.  We bought a new house, but set it up with all new Sonos Amps, etc.  I brought a few of the Sonos Connects from the old home, but I’m scared to hook it up to my new system because I fear it will reinitialize and erase everything on the Connect.  What’s the best way to get my playlist off of the old Connect and onto my new system?

Are your CONNECT’s using S1 or S2? For the present, keep your CONNECT’s powered down.

Hardwire the Connect to your router, run “Phonos Plus” from the iOS store [my app], this will let you export your playlist to a file in various forms. If you export it to Sonos XML form, you can later Import that into any other Sonos system in the event the S2 app requires your S1 gear to be reset. You can also export it to SoundIIZ format so you could convert it to many music services directly.

We were using, I believe, the S2.  It was the brown mobile app that’s now the worse app. We’ve never used S1.

Any approach will be messy.

One approach will be to power down all of the new SONOS units, power up one CONNECT, install controlav’s App, and export the playlists. Now, power down CONNECT, power up the new units and import the playlists.
