Hi everybody. Someone offered me a sonos connect yesterday, that he never used. So as it is an old model, i’ve install the S1 apk, made some test and it was working pretty well exept the fact that i couldn’t play an entire folder of music stored on my music server. Then a message appear telling me that i could go for S2 version. So i made the upgrade and download the S2 apk. Only sonos radio appears, no way to make visible my media server, no way to see songs stored on my android device. So i decided to roll back to S1, but every time it fails downgrading. I have reset the connect, the light flash green, i enter the S2 apk and start the downgrade process. It detect my connect and tell me that my connect is ready to be downgraded. I hit the “downgrade button” and a second after, i’ve got a message. An error occured. I really don’t know what to do. HELP pleeeeeaaaaaase !!!!!!

When you installed the Connect in the S2 environment did you also set up the music library too? As the S1 and S2 systems are independent of each other the S2 system won’t know where to find your library.

Hi thanks for answering. I didn’t try to set up the library either in S1 or S2 mode. In S1 i’ve add tune in, allow upnp/dlna. The only annoying thing with s1 was that i was unable to play an entire folder of music(No button to play all or add the folder to the playlist). When I’ve upgraded to S2 and install the app, i couldn’t see my media server and did not find the option to allow upnp/dlna. I didn’t find the way to play the files stored on my android device too, it was fine in S1. The biggest problem is that i cannot go on with s2 mode neither, the app don’t allow me to add the connect . I just want to reverse to S1.

So I’ve been able to downgrade by using another phone. I’ve installed Sonos apk on it, I have started the downgrade process and after 4 minutes, i had an error message saying that the downgrade process failed. Although this error message, I tried to reinstall with the S1 apk and it worked. I still have the message to ask me to go for S2, AH AH not for me.

Why are you using apks? Use the apps directly from the Play Store (“Sonos” or “Sonos S1”).

sorry for the misunterstanding, by apk i mean app. For me there is no difference between both name. I’ve downloaded everything from the google play store.
