Hello,

This question has been asked many times before, but is there a solution to the AirPlay password issue even though no password has been set?

The problem has existed for more than 3 years now, and all that can be found to solve the problem is to reset the device and set it up again.

I find this solution very inconvenient, having to set up my device again every few days in order to be able to use it.

I am grateful for every new and, above all, permanent solution.

Greetings from Germany

Ben

Apple Home App, this may help otherwise it’s a factory reset of your Sonos devices.

  1. Tap Home Settings→Allow Speaker & TV Access→Anyone On the Same Network/Everyone in the Home App.
  2. Set the Require Password status to off.
  3. Tap Back→Done.

Most answers I’ve read point to people using an iPhone with added software (usually work related). Could you point to an answer that says this is a Sonos problem?
