Hi community,

As of yesterday, the cruise control station doesn’t play anymore and is giving an error: “cannot play content. Try again later”. I am a Sonos radio HD subscriber.

Does anyone know if there’s any information published anywhere regarding which radio stations are actually available or when someone else makes any changes to their library of stations? It’s one of our most used stations so hoping that it’s a temporary issue on Sonos server side

Cheers in advance.

I don’t know that Sonos publishes a list, but have you tried Rock Road Trip? It’s not part of the HD family, but may be similar.

Yes, we have tried that station. Unfortunately it’s not a close alternative for us and what we enjoy listening to. Hoping it’s just a temporary server side issue on Sonos side.

Gotcha. ‘Close’ is indeed not the same. I suspect I would call Sonos Support directly to discuss it. They might be able to provide you better answers than we in the public.

I called them yesterday but they had no info on the situation, and just took me through the standard troubleshooting methods of restarting and resetting things. At least the person I spoke to had no ability to do more than capture feedback and not look into if this was a service site issue on their side or if the station is actually taken down.

Well, some feedback is better than none. Hopefully, it will reach someone who can make a difference. That being said, you’re the only person that I’ve seen post about it. So thank you for that!

The HD station, Cruise Control, is not working for me either. All other Sonos HD Radio stations I tried work fine. Something’s wrong on Sonos’ end.

Did you call Sonos Support directly to discuss it? They’ve said in the past that they can be swayed by a larger number of reports to their CS.

Not yet.

The station is working for me again.

I couldn’t connect to a different station, I believe it was ‘New Wave’, the other day as well.  I didn’t think too much of it, as I’ve been having other troubles with other things in the home and was content to just switch to a different station rather than deal with it.

Anyway, I am not too surprise that Sonos support couldn’t do much to help as Deezer has been running Sonos radio for the past 2 years. Support may not have any tools to see what’s going on with Sonos radio.  Perhaps contacting Deezer would/could have been helpful, but not sure about that either.

Surely if Sonos is going to take our money for a service they would ensure they have the ability to provide support. The reason may have been Deezer but we shouldn’t need to try to get Deezer to fix this, that’s on Sonos 🤦‍♀️

I can happily confirm that Cruise Control came back to us yesterday. It now works again!
