Dear All,

I would like to connect my favourite mobile phone app for podcast with my Arc. Unfortunatley Arc does not support Bluetooth. Now my question.

Could I add e.g. a Move 2 to my environment (Move 2 is capable for Bluetooth), so using Move 2 I can connect via Bluetooth and playing my podcast via Arc and Move 2?

Does this work?

Short answer. Yes.. Just group the speakers.

May I ask which podcast app you use?

Thanks for the fast response!

I'm using Podcast addict on Android.

A possible workaround is mentioned in this Podcast Addict (PA) FAQ.  I have no idea how well it works, and maybe you have tried it?

You might want to lobby PA to use the open application interface at Sonos to get PA on there.

Several podcast apps are better integrated with Sonos, but if PA is your app of choice that’s fair enough.

I assume PA is not available as an app on your TV?

Could you Chromecast to the TV and hence to the Arc?

Just some random thoughts…

Edit.....or BT to the TV?

Good hints. Let me check. Many thanks for your efforts.

No worries.  Please post back if you find something that works.

Dear John,

Thanks again for your suggestions. I tried BubbleUpnp but it makes playing something to complicate (at least for me).

You wrote that there are other PC apps out there, that have a better support for Sonos. Which one do you mean? I would like to give them a chance😃. Any suggestions in this I would really appreciate.

Many thanks

Stefan

Hi Stefan

This article may be of some use

This is not something I make a great deal of use of!

But I believe that Pocket Casts is well regarded, and is available as a service on Sonos.
