I have just added a Sonos Sub Gen 2 to an existing pair of Play 5 Gen 1 speakers. Had to downgrade the Sub for use with S1 app. I was wondering how best to adjust the speakers’ EQ>Bass and Sub’s Sub Audio>Sub Level. So should I set EQ>Bass to 0 and let the Sub push all the bass?

There is no right or wrong way to do it. Use the settings that sound best to your ears in your specific room setup.

Thanks and I get what you said. There must be a logical “default setting” based on how Sonos process sound when a sub is present. I watched one of Peter Pee’s youtube and in that he added a Sub to a pair of Play 5s. I thought he said something about the pair of Play 5s being able to focus more on mids and highs while the Sub handling the lows. So I thought does he mean the bass setting for the Play 5s is set at a low level and let the Sub handle the lows?

I think he didn’t touch the settings, and allowed Sonos to play the source. As @GuitarSuperstar suggests, do what sounds good to your ears. If Sonos had a recommendation, which they don’t, they’d include it in the instructions for your Sub.
