Can't play station on myTuner Radio

Hi All,

I am no longer able to listen to a station on myTuner Radio and I’m trying to get to the bottom of it.

The station I’m trying to play is “Classical California KDFC.” It has worked for years without issue, but now I get the message “Couldn’t play content. Try again.” The station will play just fine on TuneIn, but I have no interest in using an app that plays 3 hours of ad rolls before a stream begins. It also plays through Sonos Radio since that is just a patch-through circus of ads from TuneIn.

I have tried playing the station through my favorites and have tried starting a stream through a fresh search in case the URL has been updated, but it didn’t help.

The stream works just fine when I use the myTuner website, so there doesn’t appear to be anything wrong with the stream—it seems isolated to Sonos. https://mytuner-radio.com/radio/kdfc-899-fm-403396/

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

The url you supplied wont work as it needs a dynamic token.

However, this url will work:

Phonos Ultimate

Thank you for the reply. There seems to be some confusion as I was only providing that URL To illustrate that the stream was working through myTuner’s own website, indicating that they have a valid stream registered for the station.

To my knowledge, Sonos regretfully does not provide the ability to stream a URL directly, but please let me know if I’m mistaken.

in any case, the issue seems to have resolved itself overnight, so all is well.

Sonos can add direct URLs via the Desktop app, they show as custom radio stations in TuneIn Classic. S2 hides TuneIn Classic, but third party apps still allow access.

The screenshot above is from my Sonos app (see profile), which makes it easy to find, add and validate streams, as well as play them back.
