Can't manage alarms after update

I have a Samsung S25 phone running Android 16 and oneUI 8.5.  Last Monday, 11 May 2026, Sonos updated their app.

Since then I can not manage alarms in the app.  The only way to manage alarms is in a PC app, in my case MacOS.  There’s a catch, the MacOS app is intel based and M1 Macs use Rosetta to use it.  The Rosetta translated app will soon be withdrawn.

Sonos Support take two hours to get to the point where they just shrug their shoulders and point toward the soon to be withdrawn PC app.

We invest on Sonos products because of a perceived notion that it’s good an reliable.  In recent times Sonos has become a laughing stock.

Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Regards,

Kevin J

How many alarms are you trying to manage?

Only one.

Have you tried the web app, instead of the Mac (native) app?

What is OneUI 8.5? I’m not an Android user, this has me concerned. I recognize Android 16 as an OS.

Both my older Intel Mac, and my newer M1 Mac are running fine, but I’m not attempting to mess with any alarms, either.

Thanks Bruce, OneUi is the Samsung version of Android 16.

There seems to be no native M1 version of the app. You'll soon get a message about the Intel version of the Mac app being withdrawn.

If it works on a pc or Mac,  why not the phone app?  It did before May 11....

One UI is a Samsung thing, something that they tell us makes their phones and other Android devices better.

Yea, I get the message about the native version on my M1 for the future, but it still works right now.

Note that there are several other threads about a request for a native (Mx Mac OS) version, but as has been discussed at length in them, Sonos is unlikely to do so, as they retired working on either Windows or Mac versions other than bug fixes many years ago, and are concentrating on mobile OS and the web version.

As to why it isn’t working on different versions, I’d agree it makes little sense. I’d be tempted to call Sonos Support to discuss it. Especially as no one else seems to be having this issue.

When you speak directly to the Support staff, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.

I’ve not seen any confirmation the alarms issue from last year was actually fixed. You may just fall under that issue.

Edit: or could be due to the keyboard being used on your device?!
