I use Pocket Casts and BBC Sounds to log podcast series or episodes to listen to and then play them via the API in the Sonos app (iPad/iPhone).

Since the major update earlier in the year both these integrations stopped showing the playing or played status of podcast episodes making it a much worse experience electing the next available episode to listen to or continue listening to.
I’ve been in touch with Pocket Casts a month or two back and they are aware of the issue which they claim is entirely Sonos’ making - I am sure this is correct.

Is it possible to get an update on this?

Do Sonos intend to fix this or should we assume this rather large “Ha ha F U podcast listeners using BBC Sounds and Pocket Casts (I don’t know about other services but assume they may be impacted) keep guessing we ain’t going to fix it for ya”?
