Hello,

I’ve recently started having issues with Audio dropouts on BBC Sounds again on a playbar “Jakes Room”

I had this issue around 2 months ago, along with an issue where changing the volume on the device was heavily delayed. I factory reset this device to solve the volume issue, and it solved the audio dropout too.

I’ve submitted a diagnostic “1331804825”

Regards

Jake

Sounds like wireless interference … see the resolution offered in this Sonos Support link, such as changing the 2.4Ghz wireless channel/channel-width etc.

Oops forgot to add the 1 device that has the issue is connected via ethernet, all the wireless devices are perfectly fine

So presumably you’re using SonosNet - maybe switch it to a different channel in the Sonos App (Network Settings) and ensure the router is on a different ‘fixed’ non-overlapping channel (Ch 1, 6 or 11) and set the routers 2.4Ghz band to 20Mhz only. It might be worth changing the cable too and ensuring the wired device is not less than one metre away from the nearest wireless AP/Router.

Hope those suggestions sort the issue for you.👍

Surely it can’t be the SonosNet as the device that stutters on audio is a playbar wired via ethernet.

Plus the issue disappears if I factory reset the device.

Yes it could be - it’s certainly worth trying the various things I’ve suggested. Nothing ventured …etc.
