BBC Sounds App not working via Sonos

I am an avid UK based BBC Radio 3 listener and until last week constantly had my two Sonos systems linked to the BBC sounds app as a connected service via BBC Sounds. Now it’s stopped linking. I can play BBC Sounds and then Airplay to one Sonos Ray speaker and sub but not to the Play:5. Anyone know what’s changed. I assume some software upgrade. Will it be fixed?

Sonos helpdesk fixed this! I didn’t know about the reset App option so I did that and it allowed me to reauthorise my BBC Sounds app and bingo it now works. I also rebooted my older Play:3 and that’s now groupi g so all good. Thanks for your help

“Linking” is not a Sonos term. Can you describe what you did to get sounds out of both speakers? AirPlay to them separately? Did you group them?

@JakeinYorkshire - Have you simply tried to reauthorise BBC Sounds in the Sonos app?

Thanks for the response Mr T! I have tried but only get a white screen via the Sonos app so cannot proceed. That’s why I popped a note to the Sonos community to see if another fix might work. It won’t let me cancel, re-authorise or do anything. I can play Apple Music but not live radio streaming although I’m in the UK. Any other tips appreciated.

To 106rallye - I used to select BBC Sounds under ‘My services’ and then played BBC Radio 3 to either all grouped Sonos speakers or to separate rooms. Now I can only play to the Sonos Ray (and mini sub) from the Bluetooth option from the BBC App. The Play:3 speaker doesn’t play anything via Sonos and the BBC sounds app. If I opt for select all in the sonos app and try BBC Radio 3 nothing happens. A pop up box says ‘can’t play radio 3. Try again’

I say there’s some outage at present.

I can play BBC Sounds content without any issue, however, I also get the white screen when attempting to reauthorise the service.
