Apple Playlists

I create Apple playlists on my computer, going to the Apple service in Sonos on the computer they don’t show up. Also on my phone they don’t show up. If I create the playlist from my phone in Apple Music they will sometimes show up. I’ve long given up on using the Sonos library on my computer.

Apple have historically taken up to 24 hours to sync playlists between their databases (their main one, and the one they use on Sonos). Now why they chose to have two databases is another, valid question, that we will never know the answer to.

Note that “fancy” Apple playlists (I forget the real name, Zune called them Smart Playlists as I recall) are not supported on Sonos at all.

When you create the playlists on your computer, do you restart the app or your phone? Sometimes that is needed for the changes to take effect on a different device.

Yes, restarted everything. I’ve been trying to figure this out for weeks now.

This keeps happening and it is ridiculous. Makes me want to bin it, it’s the sole purpose of why I bought it. Shambolic service.
