On my Arc Ultra, I reliably see when a track from Apple Music is lossless.  However, the same track in a different room (Paired Sonos Ones with Sub Mini) does not appear to be lossless.  I have adequate badwidth, and all apps/firmware are updated.

One of the One’s is hardwired to my router.  Not sure if that makes a difference either way.   I believe the speakers are connected wirelessly over Sonos Net, including the Arc Ultra.

According to the latest message from Apple, my speakers should support lossless.  Any suggestions?  Thanks in advance.

The Arc Ultra connects directly to your router’s Wi-Fi as it does not use SonosNet.

Can you confirm the different room has Ones and not Play:1s as per your profile. The latter do not support Apple Lossless playback.

Not Play:1

The system is as described.

I just updated my profile, haven’t in a long time.

Hmm, should I disconnect the one and go full wireless?  Could that make a difference in this one issue?

As follow up, by pointing out that Arc Ultra is not on Sonos Net, I disconnected my Sonos 1 from the router, and now I see Apple Lossless on the entire system.

So, my problem is solved.

I’m curious, though, is Sonosnet not compatible with lossless?

Not sure why you weren’t able to get Apple Music Lossless with the One wired.

SonosNet is compatible with lossless. I’ve previously used Amazon Music Unlimited with SonosNet. No longer subscribe to Apple Music.

If you did go back to a wired setup and lossless failed again to play on the Ones, I’d submit a diagnostic and contact Sonos support. They can review the diagnostic and hopefully see something in that to explain the cause.
